Something I’ve noticed is that Ben and Jerrys posts a lot of political posts, which in my opinion is not a bad things and makes me more inclined to buy their product, which is how I’m sure other people feel. I also know that because of politics this would cause a lot of people to choose to not buy their product. This week they posted a story to instagram as a countdown to election day with a link to a website on how to find your polling place. This was a politically neutral post but a lot of people don’t want to hear about politics when their trying to find ice cream. They also post that they have a new limited flavor called “Justice ReMix’d” and it is a limited edition ice cream which causes a desire in people to buy this product. I think especially because of the time of year it is with the presidential election coming up a lot of people are more receptive and excited to buy products like this.
