Through this course I have become much cognitively aware of my personal writing process, one of the major things that I have noticed that has drastically improved my writing process is the disconnect between my thoughts and the words I write. I have a mind that moves a million miles a minute and often times I find that it is difficult for me to type my ideas down as quickly as they come to mind. Through the recursive writing process I am able to go back and reassess what I have written, when I first write down my thoughts it makes complete sense, once I go back, I realize that my sentences may just be a jumble of words. In highschool I didn’t believe in rereading and going back through my papers because once I finished I just wanted to be done with them, Through this semester I have realized the benefit in taking the time to reevaluate what I have written.
